The 280 Series combines Visiontron’s controlled RETRACTA-BELT® technology with a distinctive grooved aluminum post. It is designed for new queue systems, expansions of existing grooved-post installations, and facilities that need compatibility with Lavi Beltrac® products and accessories.
Controlled Retraction in a Grooved Post
The 280 Series combines a durable 9' belt, controlled retraction, and a universal belt end in a serviceable grooved-post cassette. Replacement cassettes are available and compatible with Lavi Beltrac® products. Unlike conventional retractable belt systems, E-Z Back® slows belt retraction to help reduce whip-back injuries and accidental impacts. Standard on every premium RETRACTA-BELT® cassette.

The defining feature of the 280 Series is its extruded aluminum post with dovetail grooves. Compatible signs and accessories attach with the Grooved Post Adapter, creating an integrated, architectural appearance. The grooved design is compatible with Lavi Beltrac® products, making it a practical choice when expanding or updating an existing grooved-post queue system.

- Standard coating — Intended for indoor use; not rated for outdoor exposure.
- Weather-Protect — Suitable for many outdoor, non-coastal settings. Avoid standing water or prolonged submersion, which may affect the rubber floor protectors’ adhesive.

Can accessories be mounted to the grooved post?⌄
Yes. Compatible Visiontron sign frames, literature holders, luggage-tag holders, and other accessories can be mounted using the Grooved Post Adapter .
Which base options are compatible with the 280 Series?⌄
The 280 and 280D are available with a portable Sloped Cast Iron Base or MAGNETIC, MINI-SOCKET®, and Removable mounting systems. Fixed and RECYCLED-RUBBER bases are not compatible with the grooved 280 Series post.
Can the 280 Series be used outdoors?⌄
Weather-Protect coatings are available with applicable finishes for outdoor use. Ask Visiontron which coating and finish are appropriate for the exposure conditions at your location.
Can the belts and posts be customized?⌄
Yes. Choose from 25 stock belt colors, custom silk-screened or dye-sublimated belt graphics, stock post finishes, and specialty powder-coat colors.
Are replacement parts available for the 280 Series?⌄

Yes, since we manufacture and engineer right here in NY, we can do just about anything. It is a custom process with minimum order quantity requirements.
