The BCB412 is an on-car retractable warning barrier designed to identify the gap between coupled rail cars at station platforms. It upgrades the proven WM412 platform with heavier webbing, a stronger spring, metal components at critical wear points, and an aluminum receiving end for constant outdoor transit service.

A between-car barrier creates a visible warning line across the space between coupled rail cars when a train is stopped at a platform. The BCB412 is not simply a standard wall mount placed on a train; it is a specialized on-car system engineered around rail-car movement, weather exposure, frequent cycling, and the high-wear conditions of rapid-transit service.
The BCB412 reinforces the proven wall-mount design for the cycling, exposure, and wear associated with on-car between-car barrier service.
The standard 2-inch by 15-foot belt uses Black/Yellow Diagonal warning graphics, thicker webbing, double stitching, and a Scotchgard protective coating. Longer 20-, 25-, and 30-foot belts are available for fleet-specific spans.
The belt extends and retracts as the rail cars move relative to one another, helping it remain taut and at a consistent warning height.

The BCB412 is backed by Visiontron's 10-year limited warranty and built around a proven, serviceable RETRACTA-BELT assembly.

The standard belt exits from the front of the housing. A left- or right-side exit can be specified when rail-car geometry or mounting location requires the belt to deploy from the side.

The belt deploys from the face of the housing for the standard on-car mounting arrangement.

Specify a left- or right-side exit when rail-car geometry calls for the belt to deploy from the side of the housing.
Every BCB412 includes a durable aluminum receiving end. The optional receiver box creates a coordinated enclosed appearance at the termination point without sacrificing durability.

The durable black aluminum receiving end and universal belt end are included with the standard BCB412.

The optional enclosed receiver box provides an equally durable termination point with a coordinated, uniform appearance.
Mounted directly to rail cars, the BCB412 creates a visible retractable warning boundary that moves with the vehicle and adjusts as cars travel through curves.
BCB412 is Visiontron's specialized on-car retractable solution. Rail systems with different operating and platform conditions can also use rigid panels, platform-mounted retractable belts, or loop posts with chains. A People Guidance Pro can help identify the appropriate system for the application.

BCB412 units mount directly to rail cars, allowing the belt to extend and retract as the cars move through curves.

Platform-mounted posts and framed panels create a rigid visual and physical boundary between train boarding locations.

Permanently mounted platform stanchions use retractable belts to identify gaps when train stopping positions align consistently.

Platform-mounted loop posts support multiple chain lines to form a visible, weather-resistant boundary.

Close warehouse aisles, loading areas, and restricted openings with a 15', 20', 25', or 30' belt—without adding a floor post.

The BCB412 is a specialized retractable warning barrier mounted directly to a rail car. When deployed, its belt creates a visible line across the space between coupled cars at a station platform; it retracts into the housing when the barrier is not needed.
The BCB412 is based on the WM412 platform but adds thicker double-stitched webbing with Scotchgard protection, a stronger internal spring, metal components at critical wear points, a rail-duty mounting arrangement, and an upgraded aluminum receiving end.
A retractable belt can extend and contract as the distance between rail cars changes through curves. This helps maintain a taut warning line at a consistent height and avoids the excess slack that can cause chains to sag, drag, or tangle.
The standard BCB412-15 includes a 2-inch-wide, 15-foot Black/Yellow Diagonal belt made with thicker, double-stitched webbing and a Scotchgard protective coating. Optional 20-, 25-, and 30-foot belt lengths are available for other rail-car installations.
Yes. Stock standard and specialty belts are available, and the belt can be customized with one-color silk-screen printing or full-color dye-sublimated safety messaging or branding.
Front belt exit is standard. The unit can be specified with a left- or right-side belt exit to accommodate the rail-car mounting location.
A black aluminum receiving end and universal belt end are standard. An optional BCB412 receiver box is available for an enclosed, uniform appearance.
Smooth Black is standard. Yellow and Red housings are optional.
Yes. The BCB412 uses rail-duty materials selected for constant outdoor transit service. Installation details should be reviewed for the specific rail car and operating environment.
Between-car barrier requirements and installation conditions can vary by vehicle, platform, and transit authority. Visiontron can help define the product configuration, while the operator and project team should confirm the applicable regulatory and agency requirements.
