A Legacy of Innovation and Commitment

From Vision to Visiontron

More than 60 years ago, Visiontron began with one clear goal: to create smarter, safer, and more durable crowd control, queuing, and signage solutions. In 1992, the Torsiello family took ownership, bringing a new level of craftsmanship, innovation, and personal attention to every project. Now in its third generation of family leadership, Visiontron continues to design and manufacture trusted products that help people move safely and efficiently through public spaces.

Built Like Family

For over 30 years, Visiontron has proudly remained family-owned and operated—and that defines how we work. We’re personally invested in every post, panel, and partnership. From our iconic RETRACTA-BELT® stanchions to custom sign systems, almost every product is engineered and manufactured under one roof in our Long Island, New York facility. This vertical integration allows us to maintain tight quality control, shorten lead times, and customize every solution to our customers’ exact needs.

Innovation That Works

Innovation is built into everything we do. Visiontron introduced industry-leading technologies such as EVERstraight® post alignment and rotary damper braking for belt retraction safety. We pioneered the 10-foot retractable belt that set a new standard in queue management efficiency. And many of our best-known products were born through direct collaboration with clients—from custom baggage sizers for airlines to durable post and panel barriers still in use at major airports like JFK today.

Made to Last, Not to Toss

Visiontron products are built for longevity, not replacement. Many of our crowd control barriers, sign frames, and queue systems are still in daily use decades later. We back that durability with upcycling and recycling programs and the best warranty in the industry (10 Years). It’s all part of our commitment to sustainability and American-made quality that lasts.

American Made, Globally Trusted

We design, manufacture, and inventory our products in an 80,000-square-foot facility on Long Island, NY. That means faster turnaround, even on custom orders, and consistent quality from start to finish. You’ll find Visiontron products in airports, stadiums, museums, casinos, retail stores, and Fortune 500 companies across the world. Wherever people gather, Visiontron crowd control and signage systems quietly keep them safe, organized, and informed.

What’s in a name?

In the 1960s, airports still used chalkboards for flight times. Visiontron’s founders saw a better way—mechanical signs—and named the company to reflect that forward vision. “Vision” stood for looking ahead, while “tron” simply sounded futuristic. The name stuck, and so did the mindset: always innovate, never stop improving.

Visiontron isn’t just a crowd control manufacturer—we’re your people guidance partner. We help businesses build smarter spaces with solutions that combine functionality, durability, and design.

We consult, design, build, and install—all right here in the USA.

What’s with the penguin?

We are a friendly bunch and don’t take ourselves too seriously, but when it comes to people guidance solutions, we are confident pros. So, what does that have to do with our tuxedoed mascot?

Like us, penguins are loyal, team-players who listen intently and survive by adapting.

LOYAL

Penguins are extremely loyal to their home and colony.

Us: We design, manufacture, assemble and inventory under the same roof as our customer service and sales teams.

TEAM PLAYERS

Penguins are instinctually team players, making sure that each in their waggle (yes, that is what it is called!) are safely cared for equally.

Us: Taking care of our large family—from employees to vendors to customers—is also built into our DNA.

GREAT LISTENERS

Also similarly, penguins have excellent hearing and communication skills with their mates.

Us: We provide on-point solutions based on our customers needs because we LISTEN.

TRUE SURVIVORS

The first penguin fossil is identified as being over 60 million years old—that means they were around around before dinosaurs, surviving dino extinction!

Us: While we are not that old, we’ve been in the industry for over 60 years and adapt to technology and contemporary customer needs.

“When I grow up, I’m going to work at Visiontron (…or be a paleontologist)!”
