The RETRACTA-BELT® 390 Series combines proven premium engineering with a slimmer 2” post for a clean, contemporary appearance. Its 10’ belt, universal belt end, built-in sign attachment, and visually compatible profile make it an excellent choice for new queues or upgrades to existing Tensabarrier 890 installations.
Every RETRACTA-BELT® cassette is engineered for smooth operation, long service life, and easy field serviceability. The 390 Series delivers that proven performance in a slimmer post with a 10’ belt, universal belt end, and controlled E-Z Back® retraction. Unlike conventional retractable belt systems, E-Z Back® slows belt retraction to help reduce whip-back injuries and accidental impacts. Standard on every premium RETRACTA-BELT® cassette.
The 390 Series pairs a slim 2” post with a heavy 18 lb sloped cast iron base to create a clean, professional queue. Its streamlined proportions complement modern interiors without sacrificing the durability required for daily public use.

Innovative, self-straightening technology keeps posts upright and prevents leaning.
Mounted stability for compatible finished floors where drilling is not desirable. A low-profile floor plate adhered with VHB tape on compatible surfaces, with epoxy and screw options. Neodymium magnets, centering and FLEX technology hold alignment and absorb impact.
Integrated alignment features ensure posts stay on the plate and don’t slide off while in use.
Exclusive spring-loaded FLEX technology absorbs impact, so posts remain connected to floor plates.
With EZ360, posts can easily rotate in any direction after installation–allowing you to align and realign your belts as needed.
The cleanest architectural appearance with removable posts and floor-specific sockets. A patented 15/16 in. socket system with 2 in. and 4 in. depths. Posts appear baseless, rotate 350 degrees and use FLEX impact technology.

A stable socket-mounted post that lifts out when the space changes use. A socket-mounted system that holds lightweight posts firmly and lets staff lift them out. Posts remove for cleaning or layout changes; socket caps leave a neat floor surface.
When a post is removed, a socket cap leaves a neat surface and minimizes the tripping hazard.
A permanently established mounting option for locations that are not intended to change. A steel post welded to a 5 in. diameter steel base and secured with three screws. The simplest mounted construction for a queue position that is intentionally permanent. Final pricing depends on the complete stanchion configuration and installation requirements.

The 390 Series uses a slimmer 2” post with a 2.5” head for a clean, modern appearance while retaining premium RETRACTA-BELT® durability, controlled belt retraction, and serviceable components.
The 390 Series includes a 10’ retractable belt. Choose from 25 stock belt colors or add custom logos, branding, safety messages, or directional information with silk-screen or full-color dye-sublimation printing.
Its universal belt end integrates with most other manufacturers’ receiving ends, and the Thin Line profile is visually compatible with Tensabarrier 890 stanchions.
The 390 Series is available in Polished Chrome or Smooth Black.
The 390 Series is available with a portable Sloped Cast Iron Base or MAGNETIC, MINI-SOCKET®, Removable, and Fixed mounting options. RECYCLED-RUBBER bases are not compatible with the 390 Series.
Yes. A built-in sign attachment makes it easy to add compatible sign frames without a costly adapter occupying a belt receiving end.
