Custom Satin Brass Stanchions for Disney Hollywood Studios

Project Overview

In February 2025, Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando, FL unveiled a renovation of the pre-show area for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway attraction. As part of the upgrade, Disney sought an elegant queueing solution that matched the attraction’s aesthetic while providing durable functionality for high guest traffic.

The Challenge

Disney needed more than just standard classic stanchions—they wanted a custom-designed product that was:

An alternate fabricator had attempted to design the stanchions but the results didn’t meet Disney’s expectations. Visiontron was then brought into the project for our proven expertise in both customization and craftsmanship.

The Solution

Visiontron engineered 125 custom Satin Brass Classic Post & Rope Stanchions, featuring:

• A Satin Brass finish with a solid brass ball top for a refined look.
• A custom 5.5” plate welded to the removable post base, replacing the standard ring for enhanced stability.

This design married aesthetics with function, providing Disney with an elegant crowd control solution perfectly suited for the pre-show environment.
